FIDE and ECF rated rapid events - ALL SATURDAYS - and there are conditions that you have to accept as part of your entry.

Each tournament is six rounds and will be open to entry on a limited basis (approx. 80 players). There are TWO sections, A) OPEN to all and B) Under 1450. There are no cash prizes for section B but all games are ECF and FIDE rated.
We are starting both tournaments at 11am and finishing at roughly 5pm
ALL PLAYERS – You MUST be an English Chess Federation at SILVER level or above and quote your ECF membership number when entering. Check your membership status here - https://ecf.azolve.com/MemberFinder.htm. Ring 01424 775222 to join or visit the ECF website.
ALL PLAYERS need to quote a FIN (FIDE Identification Number) with your entry. Non-English players will have to obtain a FIN from their national federation. Ring 01424 775222 and ask Gary or Andrew to give you a FIN.
Most games will have their own 6ft x 3ft table
Please wear masks whilst indoors and during games (unless both players agree otherwise)
The format of the event may change without notice depending on the advice of the government
Events will be ECF rated and FIDE rated
No handshakes before or at the end of the games are needed
£30.00 to enter. No late entries, no payments on the day.
No spectators in the hall or at the board
No players under 9 or who need to be supervised at the board
No waiting area in the playing area (there is an outside area at the front, no ball games, limited seating in the small hall)
Doors and windows will be open for ventilation (it will hopefully be warm!)
Refreshments - we have food and drink in the small hall courtesy of Alison and Claudette!
