What sections are there?

There are FIVE sections.
  • FORMAT - Open, Under 1900, Under 1600, Under 1300 and ECF Under 1100 swiss format tournaments,
All ages and abilities take part. If this is your first ever tournament then play in the Under 1100. 

ALL SECTIONS except the bottom section are rated by the ECF and FIDE in their rapidplay list, and you have to be a member of the ECF (SILVER LEVEL or above) to take part. Ring 01424 775222 to join or join online http://www.englishchess.org.uk/

There are six rounds and all players play in all rounds. It is not a knock-out.

There are refreshments all day.
