I am glad to say that things are moving on the over-ther-board front, and I expect to be able to offer you the possibility of a weekend congress on several weekends in November - once at Imperial College 12-14 November and once at a new venue in Mill Hill, NW London, on 27 and 28 November. Make sure you are on my mailing list.

You can play FIDE rapid chess at the lovely Clissold Arms pub during the day on 5th or 12th October - see www.muswellhillchess.blogspot.com

My club www.hendonchessclub.com is hosting a FIDE blitz event at their new venue in Hampstead (!) on Thursday 14th October from 7.30pm to 10pm but there are only 30 spaces, priority given to Hendon members!
