The playing hall at St Luke's Church
Thanks to all who made it through the snow to Golders Green Rapid this weekend!  In fact we had a very strong field in all the events, possibly helped by the unfortunate cancellation of county matches and some established congresses.  If you have won a prize, as usual send me your bank account and sort code by email to to claim it.  Thanks as usual to Tim Dickinson (for running the Open and Major), Harry Minor (excellent job in the Under 80), all those who helped put away equipment and tables and of course Norman and yElena for the food and drink!

Our next tournament here is on Saturday the 14th April, and to say thanks to you all if you register and pay online you can get a discount on your entry fee by entering the code DISCOUNT2018 at the checkout!

PS you can always get the results and crosstables LIVE during an event and any time after the event by searching for [INSERT EVENT NAME HERE] + CHESS RESULTS on Google.

The Hampstead Congress is this weekend, 10th and 11th March. Enter soon!

Just a quick reminder that in April the Hendon Blitz is later than usual, on Thursday 12th April because I am in Southend and Jersey for Easter tournaments.

You have one of the best chess websites I have seen. It is very friendly and clever. As the chess administrator for the family, I am seriously impressed by the on-line bookingA Chess Parent
